Job Description
We are seeking a Telemarketing Manager for a new position in our Manhattan office. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a call center operation. The Telemarketing Manager will have the opportunity to recruit, lead and mentor an outbound call center operation
Key Responsibilities include:
Create a process-driven workflow for telemarketing/sales and lead qualification and follow-up.
Create team performance metrics and compensation structure
Use data driven analysis to optimize telemarketing and telesales operations.
Develop call scripts for use with lead qualification and generation.
Closely interface with Sales organization to ensure alignment.
Will supervise 6 to 8 telemarketers responsible for the following activities:
Cold calling to sales prospects in target industries to qualify leads and set appointments for direct sales force.
Maintain accurate detailed and relevant contact data through Salesforce.com.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of training, developing and managing telemarketing/telesales teams for software or technology company(s). They must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize work and meet deadlines. Other key attributes include:
Technical acumen and ability to possess the appropriate level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge of Knovel product.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office(Word, PowerPoint, Excel),
Experience with CRM software, Salesforce.com preferred
Customer service orientation
Results oriented
Ability to set clear direction and to train others in telemarketing/telesales function
We expect the candidate to have a BA or BS degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in telemarketing/sales management for a software or technology company.
