    Senior Strategy Event Marketing Manager:
    Drive thought leadership and excellence in the event marketing discipline for the company through creating an impactful, all-encompassing event marketing strategy. Influence the adoption of the strategy across the company to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of events and their impact on Company business objectives. Particular emphasis will be placed on capability in the areas of digital engagement, experiential philosophy and practical implementation of experiential programs. In addition, substantial background in application of analytics to event activity to maximize return is essential.
    Responsibilities include:
    Define and refine metrics & performance targets and connect to business results. Intention is to drive efficiency, impact, and relevance of Event Marketing worldwide. Evangelize Return on Marketing Investments tools and drive Companywide adoption of standardization in measurement approach.
    Provide Event Marketing Leadership throughout the various business groups, supporting in particular the shift to digital engagement with attendees. Identification and refinement of digital event platforms as well as suitable service partners to have global reach and experience in digital applications.
    Examine event properties across the Company and establish a point of view with regard to the portfolio of major event properties. Declare redundancies and drive to eliminate unnecessary of redundant activity. Publish a case for rationalizing how events should be used and compare/contrast to current practice. Recommend alternative scenarios for change.
    Conduct opportunity assessments including pilot programs, business cases, and then scaling pilot programs results Company-wide via publishing/evangelization of best practices, tools and governance and measurement. Key outcomes will include enhanced marketing communications planning and execution, improved ROI insights and tools, and streamlined execution that results in cost savings or cost avoidance or other effectiveness improvements.. Monitor and measure the business impact of the initiatives supported by this role and communicate broadly internally and externally.
    Architect quality assurance processes for event components to ensure compliance with defined objectives, strategies, requirements, and budget.
    Lead the Event Marketing Leadership Team (EMLT) – a network of senior leaders across the Company group of senior event leader/partners. Proactively provide strategic recommendations to the EMLT based upon lessons learned, external research, and cross-company marketing understanding.
    This position requires frequent contact with all levels of U.S.-Subsidiary Marketing Group/Product Management Groups, Events management, and external vendors.
    The candidate will be an experienced marketer with solid understanding of marketing planning, execution and measurement best practices as well as:
    Proven ability to create shared vision across multiple stakeholder teams and provide confident leadership to teams with strategic objectives.
    Solid strategic program management experience including the ability to set and drive requirements across multiple functional arenas.
    Strong analytical and strategic thinking including the ability to create insights and drive planning from diverse sets of data
    Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent work experience required, masters desired.
    Minimum eight years of event management experience in a business or hi-tech industry environment with a degree
    Excellent communication (verbal and written) as well as interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are required.
    Self-motivated and directed person, requiring minimal supervision for successful assignment completion.
