    Juniper is looking a passionate social media expert to help shape and implement Juniper’s social media engagement with customers, partners, and the industry.  As Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for creating an energized cadre of new followers and converts by expanding Juniper’s online conversation, for daily interaction with Juniper’s existing online constituents, and for representing the voice of Juniper on all social media channels. As a key online voice for Juniper, you will be a steward of the Juniper brand and an evangelist of the New Network – constantly finding new ways and new places to stimulate online dialogue about Juniper and how the New Network is solving real customer problems.  Reporting to the Director of Online Communities, you will also apply your expertise and interest to understanding new platforms and trends and translating these into meaningful approaches for Juniper.
    Responsibilities
      Create a new legion of Juniper followers and advocates online by thoughtfully bringing the New Network conversation to new communities
     Implement programs for engaging, nurturing, and growing Juniper’s social sphere of users
     Develop and implement dashboards and diagnostic metrics to evaluate effectiveness.
      Have intimate understanding of relevant social networking platforms and technologies including, but not limited too:, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google (search).
     Possess a deep understanding of the social media landscape – including leaders and laggards – to develop a compelling competitive advantage for Juniper in social media.
     Provide daily, vigilant moderation of Juniper’s official social media properties and escalate hot topics to subject matter experts, business owners, or the community software platform providers.
     Become a trusted advocate in Juniper’s social sphere by identifying and establishing relationships with most active members (superusers), creating programs to nurture these users.
      Work in extremely close concert with internal stakeholders to incorporate social media into marketing campaigns, programs, and launches.
     Develop and implement a plan, using off-the-shelf tools or other mechanisms, to gain insight into social media behavior of key audiences.
     Serve as ongoing liaison to social media platform vendors for software upgrades, bug fixes, new feature or tool rollouts, and roadmap items.
     Create comprehensive set of social media guidelines and policies; develop rules for action when violations and other issues arise.
     Provide ongoing feedback to other Juniper community managers about trends, opportunities.
     Oversee, train, recruit, and collaborate with other social media managers, internally and externally.
     Be a relentless, visible evangelist internally and externally.
     Develop a comprehensive, regular editorial calendar in concert with corporate communications and PR agency
    Desired Skills & Experience
    Education and Experience
                 BS or BA in marketing/communications or relevant industry experience.
                 Minimum of 2+ years of community and/or social media experience in a B2B context.
                 Minimum 2+ years of industry experience; marketing program/campaign background a plus.
                 Experience with developer communities or SDK programs highly desirable.
                 Outstanding collaborator and great teammate.
                 Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and skilled problem solver.
                 Comfortable engaging internally up and down the organization.
                 Must thrive in a highly dynamic, fluid, fast-paced environment.
                 Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills are essential.
