    Product Marketing Manager – Storage

    Imation seeks an experienced Product Marketing Manager -Storage to manage RDX and Defender product categories.   RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for establishing the product marketing plan for RDX and Defender product categories in the Americas region.
    • Responsible for the development and delivery of a business plan that defines short and long-term objectives and advance Imation’s position.
    • Play a key role in tracking competitive moves, market feedback, and determine appropriate positioning and features to sustain competitive advantage in target segments.
    • Work closely with sales, customers, engineering and manufacturing to assure product issues are prioritized and resolved.
    • Develop and oversee the preparation of promotional materials including presentations, brochures, white papers and other marketing collateral.
    • Meet with partners/customers to assess product roadmaps and feature/benefit attributes of new products, and develop relationships where appropriate.
    • Establish pricing strategy and manage pricing.
    • P&L responsibility for RDX and Defender in the Americas commercial markets.
    • Plan, implement and track channel programs to increase sell in and sell through of products.
    • Provide PR and Marcomm support involving specifications, in-depth technology support and presentations.

    REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate will be a leader who has the ability to think strategically about the overall product category combined with a hands-on approach in terms of product launch and execution. He/She should have an extensive background in storage and storage related technologies including software, automation and security.

    • Must be able to assimilate broad range of data, draw meaningful conclusions and define a coherent strategic direction – this requires strong analytical and problem solving skills.
    • The successful candidate must be a hands-on self-starter who can assume broad responsibility in a dynamic business setting.
    • High standard of excellence, results, orientation, flexibility and openness to change.
    • Minimum of 3+ years product management and marketing experience within software, automation and security.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years marketing experience successfully targeting retailers, etailers, channels and distributors.
    • Lifecycle product management experience with major product programs, from concept through development, marketing, distribution and sustaining support phases.
    • Strategic mindset with heavy involvement in execution and delivery of results.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal as well as presentation skills.
    • Strong customer skills with the ability to build relationships, partnerships and alliances.
    • Ability to develop relationships in all cross-functional areas.
    • Ability to manage small groups, drive projects, and collaborate with a wide variety of people across functional personnel.
    • Strong financial acumen with previous experience managing P&L.


    • Education – Bachelors Degree – Required
    • Masters Degree – PreferreD
    • Experience – 5-10 Years – Required (Marketing, Product Management)
