    Are you an experienced marketing communications manager with a passion for games and entertainment? 

    Want to lead and create marketing content for some of the most exciting entertainment experiences in the industry? 

    The Xbox Global Marketing team is looking for a seasoned marketing communications professional with a passion for games and entertainment to lead and manage marketing communications initiatives for Microsoft Games Studios, including franchises such as Halo, Gears of War, Forza Motorsports, Fable, and others. 

    Primary responsibility is driving strategy and leading execution of first-party games, including integrated marketing communications creative brief, program architecture, overseeing naming / visual id / packaging and video, overseeing video programs, specifically leading advertising efforts, and coordination with other global marketing disciplines PR, member engagement, digital, and retail. 

    The right candidate will bring a combination of great experience in marketing communications strategy, creative development and production, strong abilities in project management, cross-team collaboration, and partner relationships. The role will include partnership with product marketing and product development studios in order to drive high profile marketing communications deliverables. This role is responsible for ensuring that all production output is of the highest creative, integrated well across the campaigns, and can be leveraged worldwide.

    This role has no direct reports but is responsible for leading games titles vteams, and overseeing efforts on the team.


    Cross-team collaboration 

    o This role reports into Sr. Director, First Party Games Marketing Communications

    o Building and maintaining exceptional internal and external relationships with: title-specific vteams – including, PR, product marketing, digital, worldwide retail services, agencies/vendors, MS Studios 

    Content creation: 

    o Based on the marketing strategy, this role leads marketing communications strategies, consumer insights, and with the wider team builds out the communications roadmap for each of the titles

    o Oversee creative development and execution of 1P visual id and packaging – licensed worldwide, on budget and on time. 

    § Oversee video production

    § Directly lead advertising (TV and print) development with agency partner

    § Lead campaign and creative integration across global and marketing initiatives

    § Drive communications and content distribution worldwide, including guidance for worldwide usage across worldwide retail services and broader event, digtital, promtional and other usage

    Project management: 

    § Budget ownership and management with production companies

    § Collaborations with development studios, project marketing teams, and Xbox global marketing leadership

    § Maintaining compliance with LCA, Geo Political and ESRB/ratings boards on the creative content approvals and clearances


    § 7+ years experience leading brand-building marketing communications

    § Demonstrated ability to think strategically, think conceptually, execute effectively, work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects, in some cases, across multiple time zones

    § Advanced command of arge-scale video/ TV, print, and other production 

    § Proven effectiveness in working with product marketers/developers to gain commitment and support at key stages 

    § Strong oral/written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

    § Demonstrated exceptional cross-group collaboration skills

    § Project Management experience in a highly independent, but collaborative environment

    § Able to travel to events and manage production for short periods

    § BA/BS in communications, marketing or related discipline recommended

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with US and international games or the entertainment industry preferred

    § Experience working with Microsoft, production teams in our current roster, and MS Studios staff and facilities

    § Experience managing multilingual and multicultural consumers

    § Experience working with qualitative and quantitative consumer research
