Declare redundancies and drive to eliminate unnecessary of redundant activity. Publish a case for rationalizing how events should be used and compare/contrast to current practice. Recommend alternative scenarios for change.
    Conduct opportunity assessments including pilot programs, business cases, and then scaling pilot programs results Company-wide via publishing/evangelization of best practices, tools and governance and measurement. Key outcomes will include enhanced marketing communications planning and execution, improved ROI insights and tools, and streamlined execution that results in cost savings or cost avoidance or other effectiveness improvements..     Lead the Event Marketing Leadership Team (EMLT) – a network of senior leaders across the Company group of senior event leader/partners. Proactively provide strategic recommendations to the EMLT based upon lessons learned, external research, and cross-company marketing understanding.
    This position requires frequent contact with all levels of U.S.-Subsidiary Marketing Group/Product Management Groups, Events management, and external vendors.

    Sage Construction and Real Estate (CRE), the makers of industry-leading accounting/operations software solutions for small and mid-size businesses, is looking for a Social Marketing Director.  This new position will:
    Build an online Sage construction community
    Leverage new social media tools to engage customers and prospects beyond traditional marketing channels
    Improve our visibility and relationship with major trade groups, industry analysts, and key opinion leaders
    This is a high-visibility opportunity for a person with proven marketing, strategy, new media, leadership, and business management skills.
    Responsibilities:
    Develop and implement a construction community
    Coordinate all content for the online community from various internal and external sources
    Develop a comprehensive social media strategy and implement appropriate new social media tools, from blogs to Facebook and wikis to LinkedIn and beyond
    Be an internal and external evangelist for social marketing to build an understanding of the practical benefits of this new medium, identify and implement best practices, and demonstrate passion, reason, and results
    Collaborate with the Directors of Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Support, to ensure community/social media initiatives coordinate with/complement other go-to-market strategies
    Develop and manage outreach/engagement strategy for major industry trade groups, with emphasis on identifying and delivering speaking engagements
    Work with our business partner channel to leverage CRE’s national organization engagement at the regional/local level

    The Director position reports to the Vice President of Marketing for Sage CRE and is based in Beaverton, Oregon.
    Qualifications:
    2+ experience as a subject matter expert on online social media tools
    10+  years experience required in marketing management and/or B2B product/service marketing
    Four-year degree (BA/BS) highly preferred
    Advanced degree preferred
    Experience with business partnering with the Construction industry
    Demonstrated accomplishments with new media strategy and execution:  developing online communities, devising social media strategies, and interacting with partners/customers/employees/other stakeholders
    Experience with web analytic tools and demonstrated ability to drive to measureable results
    Experience in creating Web content and design
    Experience in the construction, or related, industry as a software/technology products/services provider
    The qualified candidate will have demonstrated success in marketing strategy development; marketing program design; customer segmentation and competitive analysis; experience with trade shows, event marketing, and Public Relations; and familiarity with an indirect sales channel model
    The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills; the demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally; be a strategic and creative thinker; and strong analytical capacity
    Strong project management skills
