    Role
    The Director of Partner Demand Generation is focused on creating, adapting and implementing programs that enable our partners to create demand. This includes everything from partner led demand generation campaigns, content syndication, paid search for partners, trials and evaluation software for partner websites, co-branded advertising templates, to preferred vendor programs and tools for annual marketing planning. This entails working with the geography channel marketing teams and partners to determine requirements and internal campaigns team to ensure channel and partner requirements are built in to the programs/models up front. In addition, this position is responsible for finding cutting edge programs to enable and excite partners to create demand for our products. Key to the position is collaborating with the partner marketing teams to drive the adoption of these tools by the partner base. The ideal candidate will work effectively with cross-functional teams to drive a comprehensive partner led demand generation strategy and program implementation around the VMware internal and external channel ecosystem globally.

    Job Information

     

    The Japan Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for building branding on Dell Large Enterprise Business Unit and its offerings. He/she drives revenue into the business while building internal/external credibility of offerings through 360 demand generation activities. He/She plans, develops, and implements strategic projects for marketing communications ( advertising, direct mail, promotional programs, etc. ), works with segments on communicating messages within Dell and works closely with Japan marketing team on sales enablement.
    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Plans, recommends, coordinates, and tracks strategic demand generation programs.
    • Determines appropriate vehicle for message and audience (marketing communication piece).
    • Conducts concept presentation with the agency to provide direction.
    • Manages inputs for content of communication with Brand, Legal and other stakeholders.
    • Provides creative input to agency on layout and positioning, etc. aligning to Dell brand and voice guidelines.
    • Agency management including relationship, contract, planning and execution.
    • Works with agency or team to set marcom strategy.

    Qualifications:

     

    Functional Technical Skills

    • Fluent in English and Japanese

    • At least 10 years, depth experience of Marcom for high tech industry is required

    INTERACTIONS

    • Requires extensive interaction across various teams (country marketing, APJ marcoms team, agency ) and close working relationships.

    SCOPE

    • Management Guidance/Supervision — Need to be able to operate independently.

    • Need to understand Japan market in Enterprise Space from a communications perspective. Attention to detail must be of the highest order.

    • Complexity — Events logistics are significant in complexity – organizational skills are required, as well as quick-thinking.
